Just a reminder parents that tomorrow, Wednesday, December, 18th will be a full day of school instead of an early dismissal. Friday, December 20th students will have an early dismissal for Christmas break.

The Marching Highlanders pep band had some welcomed help tonight from some alumni Highlanders!!! It’s good to see them come home!!!
Congratulations to the Lady Cougar Varsity Basketball team on the win tonight against Bowling Green. Varsity Boy’s played very well, but fell to a talented Bowling Green team. Justin Plant scored 6 points in the game, making 2 three pointers!
The HES students and staff are AMAZING people! No power, NO PROBLEM! Class went on, lunch went on, the day went on. So PROUD of these people and the work they do through any adversity. In spite of it being a full moon Friday the 13th, it's a great day to be a Cougar!

Mrs. Miller's second grade families did an amazing job coming together to make Christmas special for two children in Lewis County! The students loved seeing the gifts coming in and had fun wrapping them today!
Mark Twain on-site quickly and phones are now working again also. Back to normal for now. Thanks REC and Mark Twain for getting us up and running!! Happy Friday 13th and with a full moon - who would have guessed?
Phone lines are still down, so we are not able to receive or send calls due to the power outage. Will post when that has been fixed.

Power outages in the whole area. We are told that it will be up and running in about 30-45 minutes. Kids are safe and still getting lunch in shifts!
