On Monday, April 8th, HES and HHS students will be viewing the solar eclipse. The district purchased eclipse glasses for all students. This is the last full solar eclipse in the US for 20 years and the last full one in Missouri until 2178!
If you do not want your child to view the eclipse, please contact your child's school.
The Junior High Spring Dance will be held May 11, 2024 from 6-9PM at HHS. This dance is for Junior High Students from Highland, no out of school dates allowed. Tickets will be sold in advance or available at the door. Design Credit to Dannika Yonker for the Flyer
The V/JV baseball games scheduled for tonight at Highland versus Clark Co have been cancelled due to wet field conditions. The make-up date has been set for May 1 at 5pm at Highland. GO COUGARS!!

HHS History Club took a trip to Jefferson City today. The house was in session, so we made the upper chamber our first stop. We then took a quick tour of the building and made a pit stop to see some Missouri Conservation displays. We stopped by to say hello to our Representative Greg Sharpe and his assistant, took the kids to the whispering gallery and up and out on the dome! Next stop was the Old Missouri State Penitentiary where we took a two hour history tour. We had the neatest tour guides, one with a heartfelt testimony for the students. We were told multiple times today the our group was the nicest and most polite of the many high school groups that come through!
Day 1 of Kindergarten Round-Up was a success! We're looking forward to the addition of these awesome kiddos as they "signed" with HES today!

Miss. Eisenbergs class wants to wish everyone a Happy Easter! These kindergarteners had some Easter fun today! They did an Easter egg hunt and created some awesome Easter bunnies! After, they got a bag of goodies!
