The STEM students love to build and next it was cars. Their goal was to crash test a car that would protect an egg from cracking. Results showed seatbelts are best!! Wear your seatbelt everyone!
STEM students made solar ovens! A little chilly outside but on a sunny day you could make s’mores outside in these. Of course, these ladies got to eat their dessert! Now I know how to make a solar oven! Thanks ladies!
STEM students creating and coding Lego Robots! The students also keep an engineering notebook to document their work and their journey through the design process with the robots. Great job 7th graders!

Students just a few reminders :
Make sure you have all of your technology forms turned into the office as well as the signed student handbook form. You will not be allowed to participate in the Upcoming Snowball dance without all forms turned into the office. You can check in the office to see if your forms are turned in.
Students who are driving to school also need to remember to purchase a parking tag in the office. Failure to do so could result in loss of driving privileges. Parents please have students obtain tags from the high school office. Cost of parking tags are $5.00.
Highland 8th graders toured Hannibal Career and Tech Center today to learn about the amazing opportunities they have for them once they are Juniors and Seniors. Students toured the classrooms of Machine Tool, Building Trades, Cosmetology, Heath Care, and many others. As 8th graders prepare to plan for High School, it is important that they are aware of their many options. I am proud to say that our students were so respectful during our tours. I am so proud to be a Cougar!
