Proud doesn’t even begin to describe it. This season with the Lady Cougars has been something special. We’ve been through a lot together — ups, downs, and everything in between — but this group never gave up and never gave in. We fought with heart, with pride, and with love for each other every single day.
We had a great year, and I loved every minute of the journey. That’s what makes this ending so tough. It just wasn’t our day, but it’s hard to accept that our time together — seeing each other every day, laughing, competing, growing — has come to an end.
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve told the girls that no matter what happens, we are proud of them and we love them. And we truly mean that. We’ve represented Highland with class, toughness, and heart.
I was blown away by all of the support we had — the stands were always full of people cheering us on (especially yesterday), and that meant so much to our players and coaches. Thank you to everyone who came out to support us, thank you to the best coaching staff in the world, and most of all thank you to the best group of young ladies a coach could ever ask for. I also want to say a special thank you to our 5 seniors (Manda, Bailie, Addy, Abby, & Cat). You girls will forever hold a special place in my heart. I am so very very proud of you and I have had so much fun being your coach. Thank you for everything!
I had an absolute blast coaching this team. I’ll never forget this season, this group, or the bond we built together. 💛🤎 #LadyCougars #Family #ProudCoach

👾 A Monster-ously Fun Tradition! 👾
On Friday, Mrs. Johnson’s First Grade Class visited HHS to pick up their monster stuffies from Mrs. Ann Murphy and the Fundamentals of Fashion and Interior Design class!
Our first graders designed their own monster templates, and the high school students brought them to life with creativity! 💕 The “firsties” absolutely loved their new monster friends—and their visit to HHS!
This has quickly become one of our favorite annual traditions. 🧵✨
A huge thank you to Mrs. Murphy and her talented students for making this such a special experience! 💚

Our Junior High Student Council put on our first ever Junior High Only pep assembly and it was a blast!! They recognized our Junior High athletic teams including our cheerleaders that placed in their regional competition. We had a great afternoon of laughs and fun! Apparently Junior High students just need some music, space and like 6 or 7 balloons 🤪 and they'll have a great time!! Thank you Stu-Co and sponsors!

Our 7th grade science students had a blast learning how plants make their own food while racing through the Photosynthesis Relay Race!
