Highland Elementary 6th graders went on a learning adventure today at Deer Ridge Lake. Lots of great information on fishing, forestry, beekeeping, snakes, pollenators, fur-bearers, insects, & orienteering. Thank you to Brenda Bronestine and all of the presenters.

It was a great day to celebrate Finley Wallace's book release at HES! She shared parts of her book and about becoming an author. Students also had the opportunity to enter a flash writing contest to win the opportunity to work with children's author, Stephen Kozan over the next year. Thank you to the Northeast Library Board for their help in funding this assembly.
